Webinar: How To Prepare for and Present At An NCAT Hearing

Thursday 18 August 2016 - 10.00 - 11.00am
FREE for REINSW members | $55 for non-members
1 CPD point

Presenting at NCAT can be scary! But like any public speaking, a lot of your success will come down to proper preparation.
This webinar will ensure you prepare effectively, and therefore maximise the probability of a successful outcome for your client. In particular, you will learn:

  • why conciliation is a requirement rather than a ‘nice to have’
  • how a conciliation session should run, and what assistance might be available
  • what is a tenant’s advocate and what role do they play in the hearing process?
  • when you are able to speak during a hearing (e.g. who speaks first, do you have the right to counter what the other party has said, etc)
  • how to present your case effectively and persuasively to the NCAT member
  • what things to avoid doing as they could derail your case. t shouldn’t do as they will derail your case.

This will be an information-packed webinar with a lot of practical takeaways, so be sure to register.
