Understanding Industrial Relations legislation and associated legal requirements in the workplace can be a complex task. While most of us wish it could be avoided, it is crucial to the successful running of any business. Failing to get the basics right inevitably leads to employment pain down the track.
This program aims to introduce participants to the basic principles that underpin the human resource/workplace relation management framework of real estate practice. This combined course provides participants with an overview of the legislation that governs the employment relationship – in particular the Fair Work Act and the awards applicable to our industry. Participants will be provided with a working knowledge of the obligations that are confronted during the employment life cycle from recruitment right through to managing the termination process.
